October Makeup Looks | Evening Look and Halloween Makeup | Halloween Doll Makeup

How you can achieve this simple eyeshadow look:

I used the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette for these shades but it can be adapted to whatever products you are using.

I started with an eyeshadow primer from Mac and I had already applied a brow bone highlight. I then added a white shimmery shade onto my brow bone and on the inner corner of my eyes -Naked Heat shade Ounce

I then used a pale orange shade all over my lids and using a damp brush applied a layer of a sparkly deeper orange shade -Naked heat shades Sauced and Dirty Talk.

I then used a crease brush to apply a purple shade and a darker shade called Ember to darken the outer corner of my eye and blend the black eyeliner into the look. I then added my all time favourite eyeliner Soap and glory supercat and their thick and fast mascara.

The next look is a halloween doll makeup look:

There are four simple steps to complete this look,

STEP 1 go bold with your makeup, darker on your brows and heavy on the black eyeliner helps to create the false doll look.

STEP 2 Pink cheeks and freckles, these are both really simple to do I used my pink lipstick to draw circles on my cheeks but liquid blush stain would work well! I then used a light eyebrow pencil to draw on the freckles.

STEP 3 I think the tip for lipstick is to find one you wouldn't normally wear out and that will do perfectly! I then used a liquid eyeliner to outline my lips and extend it.

STEP 4 Bunches and ribbons!

Pumpkin Picking | Halloween Day Out Ideas | UK

Is there a better way to feel autumnal than to pick your own pumpkins this halloween?

I love getting into the halloween spirit and a few weeks ago I was looking for a day out with my boyfriend and some of our friends, while looking on Instagram I saw that you can go and pick your own pumpkins from farms. I fell in love with the idea and thought it would be a great way to get everyone together, and out in the fresh air, while supporting a local farm.

I found a lovely farm with a tea room and pick your own fields, even if you they don't advertise it as a halloween event just look for pick your own farms and usually between september and october they have pumpkins ready to pick! This has definitely become a halloween tradition for us and is such a lovely day out for families!

I thought it was hilarious to do a pumpkin style pregnancy photo!

Pick your own farms made a massive comeback in 2010 and offer different fruit and veg to pick at different times of the year.  It's a lovely way to support your local farms and get fresh produce. We visited Durleighmarsh Farm Shop and Pick Your Own in Hampshire.

Tips for Starting University | Moving into Halls

This time last year I was moving into halls and starting university so I wanted to write this post for anyone who's about to do the same!

First things first it's alright to be nervous, for me this was the biggest change in my life! You're moving away from home and living with strangers but trust me they won't be strangers for long, when they say you meet friends for life at university they aren't wrong.

You will probably get a lot of people telling you how quickly the next year is going to go and they are so right so enjoy every second of first year.

This is your chance to be whoever you want to be and having space away from friends and family will change all the relationships in your life. Don't neglect friends from home but remember everyone is busy and meeting lots of people and making an effort really counts during this first week.

If you love going out freshers week will be right up your street and even if you don't push yourself a little bit and just go out and have fun. Nights out in the first week are when initial friendships are tested and formed!

Living in halls requires patience and it's ok to not always get on with your house mates you become a little family and what families don't fall out now and then!

Don't be nervous for lectures, everyone's in the same boat just do your best! You only need to pass this year and then the real work starts.

Top Tips For Online Dating | Tinder

To me the concept of online dating was middle aged singles with outdated photos,  even when joining Tinder myself I didn't view it as online dating probably because of its reputation. You know what I mean young people just looking for a shag or for their moment to send a picture of their penis to anyone they can find.

Top Tip number one, whatever reason it is that you find yourself on Tinder just have fun with it. There is no point taking it too seriously! When I joined Tinder I was in the mind set of how nice it would be to meet someone but I didn't have high expectations.

If you are looking to meet someone off Tinder because you want a relationship I would definitely say don't get easily attached just relax and have a laugh with people. By doing this you quickly realise what you don't want making that right person much easier to find!

Use Tinder as a confidence boost and a chance to practise, talk to lots of different people and maybe give people a chance who you might not instantly think is the right one for you. This way it is a win win if nothing comes of it you have probably learnt the things you will and won't say again and you are one step closer to finding the right person for you.

This next one has to be my top tip out of them all,  be honest.  If you are serious about meeting someone you don't want to be in the situation where you are nervous that you don't look like what they think you look like. Of course have a lovely photo but have a range of photos of you! Also before meeting anyone or to take the chat further move onto snapchat which is also the perfect way to get a realistic view of what you both look like. Not that looks are everything but no one wants to feel mislead!

For safety I would always make sure you snapchat or even FaceTime or video call whoever you plan on meeting. I'm not saying that just seeing someone makes them automatically safe to meet up with but it's a good place to start. Of course remember the basics, meet up in public places and let people know where you are going you know this stuff always go by gut feeling.

Only ever do things because you really want to, only say the things you want to say! A great thing about online chatting is that if at any point you want to stop talking to someone or someone makes you feel uncomfortable you can stop talking to them whenever you please.

A Tinder profile tells a lot about a person! If you are unfamiliar with how Tinder works you create a profile and can add as much information about you as you choose. You have a chance to write a bio, this is your chance to show a little bit of your personality which lets be honest Tinder is lacking! I wouldn't recommend group photos. One it's really annoying when you have to try and figure out who's account it is and this is just about you so make it all about you!

You also have the chance to set age and location settings. Be realistic with location but for the best chance of meeting new people go a little further then just your town, and remember location moves as the person holding the phone moves so they may appear near but check where they live.

I got Tinder back when I was in Sixth Form and the number one reason my friends took their time getting the app was that moment when you are swiping and come across someone you know! Just remember one have no shame and two they are also on it if they find you!  I feel like this opinion has definitely started to change and now just about everyone I know has used it at some point and I must add I know lots of successful Tinder relationships including my own.

The only online app I have experience of is Tinder but a close friend of mine has used Plenty of Fish and had a relationship from it and has used it as a way to meet quite a few people if you know what I mean ;) ! Her advice is "you need something in your profile that people will ask you about, be different, put an honest photo" I love her point of putting something to spark a conversation this will encourage people to message you and give them a good place to start.

One final piece of advice especially if you are a woman don't sit around waiting for everyone else to message you, if you want something bloody go for it, what's the worse that can happen? A friend of mine messaged her boyfriend first on Tinder and a year and a half down the line they have just moved in together!

Have fun!

Fuck Anxiety

Anxiety then and now

Sitting on the floor down a school corridor not understanding what it was about that lesson that pushed me out the door crying, shaking, hyperventilating. Feeling physically sick until I got out of bed for the third time to go and check that the taps were turned off. Cancelling plans with friends again because I didn't want to leave the house. Going to pick up the phone my heart beating too quickly my hands feeling so weak like I couldn't even pick it up let alone talk. Being too scared to walk first into a room filled with people. Having difficult conversations shaking, feeling like I couldn't breathe, just wishing I never said anything at all. Overthinking absolutely everything

Trying to explain how you're feeling to be greeted with such a lack of understanding and a stiff upper lip. Taking yourself to a doctor who can tell you about cave man times and explain you are flighting not fighting but just being sent off with a "come back if the anxiety gets worse". Having a name for it didn't make it any easier.

Finding someone on the internet who has anxiety too but knowing that I'm not the only one doesn't stop the embarrassment or doesn't stop being labelled an attention seeker. Left sitting in a medical room at school being reminded to breathe when in my head I'm absolutely fine.

Relief comes when you find those people who know you don't want a sip of water or a bag in your face but who are just there by your side.

Maybe it's a bit of my mother in me but I had enough, not sad but angry.

Not feeling sorry anymore but feeling pathetic.

I can't put my finger on when it changed for me but any time I felt that little part of me feeling anxious I intentionally made myself do whatever it was that I didn't want to do. Faking it till I made it became my goal.

Walking with confidence, being the first to the phone at work, getting up and doing every presentation I could, saying everything I wanted to say, walking into every restaurant first.

I can't convince myself all the time and don't get me wrong I have lots of wobbles but it feels alright to let it out now, I can have panic attacks but know that at the end it will be ok.

I have a boyfriend who understands me and knows not to go even when I push him away. Friends who read me better then I do. I'm now in my second year of university renting my first house, still faking it but definitely making it. I have learnt that my anxiety is a part of me and I wouldn't be without it because it makes me work harder everyday.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette | Review | Evening and Day Time Looks | Easy, Achievable, Realistic Eye Makeup

I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes I own all of them but I have to admit the Naked Heat has changed the game for me. With autumn coming up I was desperate for some warm, orange, red and purple shades that I had always felt were missing from the other Naked palettes UNTIL NOW.

My lovely boyfriend treated my to this palette, after a lot of checking on when it was back in stock, and I haven't worn anything else since!

I wear this palette for a range of looks and thought for this post I would share both an evening and a day time look.

1 Ounce is a gorgeous highlighting shade which is what I wear on my brow bone and the inside of my eye.

2 Chaser is the lovely soft beige shade I put across my lid.

3 Sauced is blended out with Chaser and applied in the crease.

4 He Devil is the beautiful deep orange/red shade I blended with Sauced on the outer corner of my eye.

5 Ashes is a lovely purple shade that I used under my eye and to darken around the crease slightly.

For the evening look I used very similar shades with Ounce on the inside corner and brow bone.
6 Dirty Talk is a gorgeous shimmer shade which I think are perfect for evening looks. I put this across my lid.
I then used He Devil on the crease again.
Once I applied the eye liner I then built up the flick with Ashes.

New House | Home Sense Haul

I am just about to move into my new house and I have been slowly building up a collection of new things. I am planning to write a series of hauls on the bits and bobs I have picked up. This post starts with Home Sense.

This was my first ever trip to a Home Sense as there has never been one near where I have been living before. I walked in and instantly fell in love with just about everything!! I was a little hesitant as I am not a Tk maxx fan at all, and they are owned by the same company, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I am so excited to show you a few of the gorgeous things I picked up.

The first is the metal storage box. This could be used for so many different things but it just suited my kitchen and by storing some bowls and mugs in it I have gained space in the cupboards! - £4.99

This lovely little yellow candle has a gorgeous wooden lid with a sweet pattern on. I am obsessed with yellow at the moment and for just £2.99 I couldn't resist.

The second I saw grey, pink, marble triangles and a wooden lid I was buying it no matter what! It was just lucky for me this container is perfect for tea bags, sugar, biscuits or whatever it may be. - £4.99

They had such a great range of little terrariums and for £4.99 I had to have this little square one,  I have definitely been caught up in the succulent trend!!

I recently bought a new vase for my room, which will be featured in a room tour post coming soon, so I was on the look out for some artificial flowers. They didn't have a huge range but for £1.99 I was happy with two of these pretty pink ones.

Lindos, Greece | The Perfect Holiday | How We Booked Our Holiday

Me and my boyfriend Jack were so lucky to spend a week in Lindos this summer and there is something magical about that place that you can only truly experience the second you arrive there.

Lindos is a town on the greek island of Rhodes. We stayed in a lovely little apartment actually in Lindos but even if you are staying somewhere else in Rhodes Lindos is the perfect day trip. Whether you are there for a look around the gorgeous little shops, choosing one restaurant from such a great selection or a day on any one of the incredible beaches you won't be disappointed.

This was our first holiday abroad as a couple and the process of booking a holiday was slightly daunting, it all couldn't have been made easier once we found the travel agents Exclusively Lindos. A live chat appears on their website as soon as you are on it and all I had to do was say what we were looking for at what price and when.  I was sent a choice of three different places to have a look at with more available if I wasn't pleased. I think it was the first one she sent over that I just fell in love with. All  I had to send was "book it" and it was done they also booked our flights and transfers to and from the airport. It couldn't have been made any easier. When we arrived at Lindos a member of the team were there to meet us and walk us to our apartment as our bags were taken there for us! If you are planning a holiday to Lindos I would highly recommend booking it this way!

If you have any holiday destination recommendations please leave them below!!

Get Ready With Me

Boohoo is my go to shop especially in my last minute clothing needs as there always seems to be a great deal on next day delivery. This top and skirt are both Boohoo pieces, the skirt is a summer essential for me as I can pair it with just about every top I own! This top I actually picked up for my sister but of course I have already stolen it as it is quite big for its size.

This evening makeup look features a few of my makeup favourites. Lets start with the bits from MAC. I have been very conflicted when it comes to Mac in past because I had alway been told that they use animal testing and as a vegetarian this is something I would never support. I recently did a little bit of research and " MAC does not test on animals and we never ask others to test for us. If a regulatory body demands it for it's safety assessment, an exception can be made". This made me want to know more about these regulatory bodies and found that MAC states that China is the only country that tests on animals as part of it's safety assessment. Now we have cleared that up lets get on with the products.

Foundation: MAC Studio Fix
Eye Primer: MAC Painterly Pro Longwear Paint Pot
Lipstick: MAC Matte Taupe

I am a huge Rimmel fan and on a day to basis use Rimmel foundations as well as these great value products:

Primer: Rimmel Fix and Protect
Concealer: Match Perfection
Powder: I have featured the Rimmel Stay Matte powder as well as the Pixi Flawless Finishing Powder. This Pixi powder has a shimmer to it so I don't like to cover my whole face in it so although I used it for this look I would choose the Stay Matte.

Soap and Glory:

I love love love Soap and Glory and the products I have featured have lasted me such a long time!

Bronzer: Soap and Glory Wonderbronze, this bronzer combines beautiful shades of pink, gold and white shimmer. The little blusher is a natural collection blush, it has somehow lost its packaging but I love the shade too much to stop using it!!

Mascara: This Thick and Fast mascara is an all time favourite of mine and I am yet to find another one that beats it.

Eyebrows: The DIY Brow Bar shades are the perfect, the lighter one for day to day and the darker for evening looks as shown in this post. I love powder for brows as long as you have the right brush!

Urban Decay:

Eyeshadow: The eyeshadow shades for this look are from the Naked 2 and Smoky palettes featuring Half Baked, Chopper and Whiskey.

Thank you so much for reading!
